Maily is an undergraduate biology student in the Department of Biological Sciences and Engineering at Yachay Tech University in Ecuador.

Her current research interests focuses on Biotechnology, Synthetic Biology and Medicine. Maily is currently collaborating with LeoRios Lab for a Review Paper on “Agave and their biotechnological potential” where she focuses on omics studies of agave.
